2nd Annual Summer Food Drive
The Salvation Army, Findlay Acura and Sudden Impact Auto Body partner to combat hunger, July 17-31
THE SALVATION ARMY is teaming up again with Findlay Acura and Sudden Impact Auto Body for our 2nd Annual Summer Food Drive. From July 17-31 you can help restock the Family Services food pantry for families and seniors in need.
“Summer is when our food pantry is hardest hit. We see an increase in clients seeking assistance with food, as well as diapers, baby supplies and toiletries due to our high summer temperatures when the cost of utilities climbs, and children are out of school and not getting meals there. Many families have to make the choice between buying groceries and paying utility bills,” says Captain Lisa Smith, "restocking the food pantry will help us help families not have to make the difficult choice of paying their utility bills or feeding their family.”
For many families, Summer is vacation time, but families in need know all too well, hunger doesn’t take a vacation.
You can help us close the hunger gap by bringing nonperishable food items, baby formula and diapers to these locations:
