Salvation Army Back to School

Salvation Army Back to School 2014

We want every child to start off the school year set up for success.

"This drive is about much more than collecting backpacks and school supplies," said Maj. Kelly Ponstler, Clark County coordinator for The Salvation Army in Southern Nevada. "It is about providing parents an opportunity to send their children off to the first day of school fully equipped to succeed."

Monetary donations may be made with credit card here or  by calling 702-870-4430.  Checks can be mailed to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 28369, Las Vegas, NV, 89126. Please indicate "SOS" in the memo line on checks.

Volunteers are needed to prepare the backpacks after the donation drive. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact The Salvation Army at 702-870-4430 or click here to sign up today!

Kids from struggling families dread showing up on the first day without a backpack, notebooks, sneakers, calculator, lunchbox, or whatever item signals school success for them.

We want to do everything we can to help level the playing field for those kids.

This year we're doing an all out push to get our supporters and friends

to click this link and make a gift that fills backpacks full of all the necessities

that inspire kids to greatness.

Your donation will help kids get excited for the school year ahead:

ready to learn, ready to succeed!

These last few years have really taken a toll on our great nation,

and our valley in particular.

One of the best ways we can invest in a healthy, productive future is

to ensure that our city's children have what they need to achieve.

Thank you for your generosity!
