More than 3,400,000 individuals of all ages volunteered their time, talents, and resources to assist The Salvation Army's work in 2010. Our volunteers are critical partners in helping us fulfill our promise to America of "Doing the Most Good."
Volunteers come from all walks of life and support the Army in almost all of its activities. They serve as members of auxiliary groups and advisory organizations, bell ringers, kitchen and clerical workers, and in special functions when disasters strike. Their contribution of time and commitment are essential to the success of the organization.
The Salvation Army embraces, values, and recognizes every contribution. With your help, we are able to stretch our donor dollar for maximum impact and build a stronger community. We also provide our volunteers with flexibility and can work with just about any schedule.

School Supply Sorting and Backpack packing
We're working hard to collect a huge room filled with school supplies and backpacks for children from Kindergarten through High School.
Theses items will be sorted by grade and packed into our generously donated backpacks with everything students need according to the Clark County School District school supply lists for each grade.
We need volunteers to make this happen - we hope to provide backpacks to about 3,000 students, giving them everything they need to succeed in school this year! Click here to sign up today! Together we will level the playing field for our valley's children in need.
As a service to the children of our community, we offer SAY Club for children ages 6-12.
This dynamic after school program is only $5 a week per family.
Students receive a healthy snack, help with homework, organized activities, and dinner!
There are great opportunities for volunteers to assist with arts & crafts, instrument instruction, supervise games, help in the kitchen, and help children with their homework.
Get in touch via email with Jennifer Witherspoon or call 702.870.4430 today and help make an impact in the future of a child!
We have on going volunteer opportunities at Family Services.
The Salvation Army Family Services Office is located at 1581 N. Main Street, in the heart of the Corridor of Hope.
Volunteers at this location are needed to sort canned goods and distribute food bags to families in need.
There are also opportunities to help in the office as a volunteer receptionist or office clerk. Serving times run from 1pm-3.30pm.
